Happy Peggy Carter Day, Everyone!

Happy Peggy Carter Day!

Marvel fans probably know that April 9th is Peggy Carter Day! More specifically, in the Marvel Comics universe, today is the beloved SHIELD founder’s birthday. Fans are celebrating Agent Carter’s birthday by taking to Instagram in Peggy-inspired fashion like her iconic red fedora or retro sunglasses with the hashtag #iknowmyvalue and #peggycarterday. And of course, Peggy cosplayers are posting their cosplay photos with the hashtags, as well.

But of course, the best gift of all for Peggy fans would probably be a third season for the prematurely canceled Agent Carter. (It’s ok, Agent Carter. You will join the ranks of Firefly and other shows that were too good to be canceled.) Check out the link below for more ways on how to celebrate Peggy Carter Day!

Spielberg teased at the idea of an “Indiana Joan” while addressing questions about where the franchise would go as Harrison Ford has already stated that he will be bowing out after the most recent Indiana Jones film. When prompted about the future of the franchise after Ford, Spielberg responded, “We’d have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that.”

If that’s the case, there’s already a proven market for it. Not only is this true with film but the video game industry has illustrated a clear need for stronger female characters for years: Faith Connors, Lara Croft, and Chloe Frazer. However, will the new prospective female character have the charisma of Harrison Ford?
